South of England U13/U15/U17 Championships – Ashford 17-18th August 2019

C&C athletes came home from the SEAA U13/U15/U17 Championships with two silver medals.

Issac Rothwell won his first area medal in the U15m 1500m. Isaac showed great form in the heat which he won, qualifying for the final the next day. He returned to the Ashford track and earned himself the silver medal. Training partner, Luca McGrath ran well in the heat where he finished eighth.

Charlie Knott continued his great season by winning a silver medal in the U17m HJ.

Matthew Smith ran a brilliant race to finish fourth in the U13B 800m which was agonisinly close to his PB of 2:18.8 with a time of 2:18.83.

It is really positive and encouraging to see the younger members of the club participating in these championships and look forward to watching them progress through the age groups.
