Frostbite Friendly League Race 5: Bourn Sunday 3rd February 2020
There were 336 senior and 157 junior runners at the 5th Frostbite meet of this season, 19 of which were Cambridge & Coleridge AC members. This year’s wet winter made for muddy paths and field edge off the forest tracks, but there was little frost and no sign of the snow that often adds to the thrill of this event, even on its hillier climbs.
Team junior were ninth and the Seniors positioned eighth out of sixteen participating clubs. All five juniors were in the top 100, with Isaac and Immy Pembury finishing first and second. The Seniors of the Pembury family also finished in scoring positions for the Senior Team, whose first male & female finishers were John Baslington and Jess Cocker.
Riverside Runners Seniors and Hunts AC Juniors won the match and this will be the likely final league result, with one last race at Huntingdon to be held on 1stMarch at Jubilee Park. For full details visit http://www.frostbiteleague.org.uk/Results/Results.htm
