Run Leader development workshop in Cambridge on 2nd November

For all coaches and club members interested in developing their endurance run leadership skills:

Please be aware there are still places available on the Run Leader development workshop in Cambridge, due to take place on the 2nd November.

Over 800 leaders attended last year’s Run Leader Development Series and we have expanded the 2019/2020 series to 7 locations across the country.

The Series of informative and engaging workshops are aimed at leaders and coaches from both affiliated clubs and the RunTogether community. They are designed to bring leaders and coaches together in an environment where they can network and learn from each other by sharing skills and challenges, plus expand their knowledge of managing and growing groups, and enhance their understanding of technical skills in running.

The day will run from 9:45-16:00 and will be based at Netherhall Sports Centre, Cambridge and will focus on the following topics:

Day 1:

  • Enhancing personal skills to support new leaders
  • Planning and structuring sessions for all abilities
  • Making sessions more inclusive
  • Practical strength and conditioning
  • Q&A with an ex-Olympic endurance runner.
