Beginners' & Slower Runners Groups

On Mondays there are sessions for runners who are no faster than 9 minutes per mile pace . This group runs throughout the year (excluding Bank Holidays). In addition to this group, we have periodic 10 week introduction-to-running courses for complete beginners. See below for information on this:

Our next beginners’ group commences on the Monday 12th March 2012 at 7pm every Monday (for 10 weeks) at the University Sports Ground, Wilberforce Road.  It's aimed at anyone who wants to try running (age 16 and above).  There are lots of reasons to get up and running even if you can only walk, and maybe jog a little bit, at present:

  • Lose weight
  • Improve health & fitness
  • De-stress
  • Feel good
  • Have fun and meet new friends

So why not take that small, but important step now? This group is designed for total beginners to running. All sessions will have a fun walk/run element to slowly improve your fitness over a period of time.

Both groups meet on a Monday at 7pm at the University Sports Ground, Wilberforce Road.

There is a large free car park area and showering/changing facilities available till 8.30pm.

£20 for the ten week beginners’ course or £2 per session.

If you decide to join Cambridge & Coleridge the £20 (if paid at the first session) will be deducted from your membership fee.
