Cambridgeshire AA Track and Field Championships 2017 - May 13th at Peterborough

The Cambs AA Track and Field championships are for age-groups Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, Under 20, and Seniors, with an extensive range of events.

In addition to the events on May 13th, there will be a 3000m championships for Under 15's, Under 17's, Under 20 men and Under 20/Senior Women on May 24th (evening), and championships for Steeplechase and 1 Mile (for Under 17's, Under 20's and Seniors) on June 21st and July 19th (evening)  as part of the Cambridgeshire Evening Devt series and a 3km walk on May 13th. Cambridgeshire evening Devt series 2017

Cambridgeshire AA will hold a series of Open Development competitions on Wednesdays - May 24th, June 21st and July 19th.

These include range of track and field events on each evening and also include the championship events listed above and events for disabled athletes. These events are ideal for new athletes to try events for the first time, as well as for experienced athletes wishing to improve their personal bests. There is electronic timing at these events. Races are graded according to performance rather than age of gender, so all athletes in a race are of similar standard. Where there is no previous performance as a guide it is estimated so that the athlete runs in a race of suitable standard.

Eastern AA Championships

  • English Schools 2017 +

    Congratulations to our English Schools medallists. Thomas Keen (U17M 3000m), Julia Paternain (U20W 3000m) and Adelaide Omitowoju (U17W Triplejump) all took gold, and Stephanie Browne took silver in U15Girls Hammer. Unlucky Jordan Wood was 4th in the U20Mens steeplechase.

    C&C had 16 competitors in the Cambridgeshire team and one in the Bedfordshire team.

  • Scottish U20W 60m Hurdles champion +

    Finlay Marriott was a clear winner of the Scottish Under 20 Womens Indoor 60m Hurdles Championship at the Emirates Arena on 11th February with a time of 8.90 secs.

  • Special General Meeting +

    There will be a Special General Meeting of the Club on Tuesday 21 February 2017, at 8:15pm at  the University Track.  The meeting is being held to consider approval to convert C&C into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.  Further details can be found on the link below.

  • Superb County XC results +

    Magnificent results from the County Cross-country Championships.  C&C destroyed the competition.  Congratulations to all athletes and coaches.  For full results click here and for a match report click here 

  • Christmas Party +

    This year's C&C Christmas Party will be held at Anglia Ruskin University on Friday 2nd December, 7.30 - midnight. There will be a Ceilidh band and a buffet. Open to all C&C members and their guests. Over 18s only. To buy a ticket  click here

  • U15 boys win National Road Relays +

    Brilliant result from the under 15 boys in the National Road Relays.  National champions!  Other teams did well too.  Full results are here 

  • Barry Wallman +

    It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry from a major heart attack.  Barry's funeral will take place on Thursday, 16 June at 12 noon at Linton Parish Church and the burial at Little Abington church cemetery.  A number of tributes to Barry have been posted - Read them here


  • English Cross country champs 2016 +

    A brilliant 2nd team place for the U17 men (Ashley, Rob, Ollie and Jordan), and 3rd team for the U17 Women (Julia, Belinda, Alice and Evie). The U13B were 7th team.

    Best finish of the day was 5th for David Dow (U15B). The womens team was 11th of 84 teams with Vikki Knight 19th of 700.
