Cambridgeshire AA Track and Field Championships 2018 - May 12th at Peterborough

The Cambs AA Track and Field championships are for age-groups Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, Under 20, and Seniors, with an extensive range of events.

Entry is online this year at  https://entries.opentrack.run/  and you can find the events prospectus here

In addition to the events on May 12th, there will be a 3000m championships for Under 15's, Under 17's, Under 20 men and Under 20/Senior Women on May 23rd (evening), and championships for Steeplechase and 1 Mile (for Under 17's, Under 20's and Seniors) on June 20th and July 18th (evening)  as part of the Cambridgeshire Evening Devt series and a 3km walk on May 12th. Cambridgeshire evening Devt series 2018

Cambridgeshire AA will hold a series of Open Development competitions on Wednesdays - May 23rd, June 20th and July 18th.

These include range of track and field events on each evening and also include the championship events listed above and events for disabled athletes. These events are ideal for new athletes to try events for the first time, as well as for experienced athletes wishing to improve their personal bests. There is electronic timing at these events. Races are graded according to performance rather than age of gender, so all athletes in a race are of similar standard. Where there is no previous performance as a guide it is estimated so that the athlete runs in a race of suitable standard.

Eastern AA Championships

  • European Under 18 3000m champion +

    Thomas Keen has become the 2018 European 3000m under 18 Champion. Congratulations to him and his coaches.

  • English Schools 2017 +

    Congratulations to our English Schools medallists. Thomas Keen (U17M 3000m), Julia Paternain (U20W 3000m) and Adelaide Omitowoju (U17W Triplejump) all took gold, and Stephanie Browne took silver in U15Girls Hammer. Unlucky Jordan Wood was 4th in the U20Mens steeplechase.

    C&C had 16 competitors in the Cambridgeshire team and one in the Bedfordshire team.
