About the club

C&C was founded  in 1961 from a merger of two clubs, Cambridge City Athletic Club and Coleridge Athletic Club.  (Coleridge is a district of Cambridge.)  It has been C&C ever since.

We have over 630 members around 580 of whom are active competitively.  Just under 60% of the club's membership is young athletes, under 18 years old.  Of the remainder over 200 focus on road running and other endurance events such as cross country and fell running.  (Yes, fell running, there may be no fells anywhere near Cambridge - there aren't even any decent hills anywhere near Cambridge - but we poor flatlanders occasionally take to the fells and have occasionally been know to perform moderately well.)

In 2008 we began to set up a number of 'community clubs' for youngsters under 10 and now have four: in Cambourne, Cambridge, Impington and Sawston.  We may be able  to set up more in the next few years.  Members of these clubs are not full members of C&C but many join when they reach 10.  Currently we have around 100 young people taking part in the community clubs.

Charitable status

We are registered with the Charity Commission as a charity and have to meet the relatively stringent conditions they impose on us in giving details of the club's trustees (its elected committee - see below) and its financial operations.

The club's registered charity number is 1129910 and its address is University Sports Ground, Wilberforce Road, Cambridge CB3 0EQ.

Important Notices

The on-line membership system is now live.  All members have been sent an email giving log-in details.  If you have not received the email, please check spam folders and junk mail boxes.  If you can't find it, email info@cambridgeandcoleridge.org.uk.

Cambs AA are running training courses for beginner officials on March 25th 2012 at Huntingdon. C&C urgently need people to assist with track judging, timekeeping and field judging. Its not difficult but we can't run league teams without enough officials. You can get more details from Noel Moss or from the County officials Sec cambsofficials@sky.com

If you subscribe to antispam protection, please ensure that it doesn't block e-mails from Noel Moss or Neil Costello, or club team managers, or you may miss important C&C information.
